An interesting TravelBlog by a retired couple Liz and Ray Gillis who trek around some interesting locales: They have recently returned from an overland journey that took them from Mumbai, India to Beijing, China and then on the Trans-Siberian Express train to Moscow and St Petersburg (5 months on the making), fascinating !
Pervious trips - some 6 weeks around Canada's Newfoundland and Labrador - also page back to the 17 week trek from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, through Uruguay, the southern tip of Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador, including the Amazon - - - - - - Lots of great photos!
Check out this wonderful time-lapse video showing the development of a still life painting from beginning to end by Carol Marine. She specializes in small studies done in the course of a day - free form work .
